After unveiling part of its permanent collections to the public when it reopened, MUDO-Musée de l'Oise is offering a complete overview of painter Amédée de la Patellière in the 14th century fortified gate and the 18th century wing of the museum.e

Amédée de La Patellière occupies a unique place in French art between the two World Wars. His work, completed in barely ten years, is that of an independent painter whose survived the First World War.

With more than one hundred paintings and drawings from major public and private collections, the exhibit explores all the facets of an art on a perpetual search: the visitor is invited to discover everything from accounts of the Great War to the large compositions with their dreamlike realism, powerfully structured, to the later paintings with their more assertive lyricism.

The exhibit is presented in partnership with La Piscine, the Musée d'art et d'industrie André Diligent in Roubaix, the Musée du Mont-de-Piété in Bergues and the Musée des Beaux-Arts of Nantes.

Access for those with reduced mobility: the temporary exhibition spaces located in the entrance towers and the 18th century wing of the Museum are not accessible to people with reduced mobility.
